Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use CheeFarms. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. Farmers and drivers may be required to complete verification before transacting.

CheeFarms is a marketplace that connects farmers, buyers, and drivers and provides escrow payment and logistics tools. Unless stated otherwise, we are not the seller of produce listed on the platform. Contracts for the sale of produce are formed directly between buyers and farmers, subject to these Terms.

Farmers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including descriptions, quantities, grading, and pricing. Produce must be lawfully grown, safe, and as described. We may remove listings that breach these Terms or our quality standards.

When a buyer places an order, payment is held in escrow by our licensed payment partner. Funds are released to the farmer once delivery is confirmed, less any applicable fees. You agree to pay all charges associated with your orders, including produce cost, delivery, and platform fees, as shown at checkout.

We coordinate delivery, including cold-chain handling where required, through our logistics partners and drivers. Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed and may be affected by weather, road conditions, or other factors. Risk in the produce passes on delivery to the buyer's stated address.

Because produce is perishable, cancellation and refund windows are limited. If produce arrives damaged, materially different from the listing, or undelivered, raise a dispute through the platform within the stated window. We may mediate disputes and, where appropriate, hold, refund, or release escrow funds in line with our dispute process.

CheeFarms charges fees for use of the marketplace and its services. Current fees are shown before you confirm a transaction. We may change our fees with reasonable notice; changes apply to transactions made after the change takes effect.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or unlawful listings or content.
• Circumvent escrow, complete payments off-platform to avoid fees, or defraud other users.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform.
• Use CheeFarms to sell prohibited, unsafe, or restricted goods.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

The CheeFarms name, logo, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify, or reuse them without permission. You retain rights to content you submit but grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the platform.

The platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, CheeFarms is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of farmers, buyers, or drivers. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the platform and its users. Obligations that by their nature should survive termination — including payment, dispute, and liability terms — will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes that cannot be resolved through our process will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
